Springfield College Sport Management and Recreation alumni Emma Wesoloski '22, Matt Lilley '21, G'23, and current graduate student Joseph Cannizzaro '23, recently spoke with current students about their experiences working for the Travelers Championship golf tournament. The trio guided current students through how Springfield College has helped them achieve their current professional success.

"The success of our students in the classroom is a direct reflection of the connection we have with our alumni base," explained Springfield College Sport Management and Recreation Chair Heather Gilmour, Ed.D. "Our students learn valuable lessons from the alumni and the passion our alumni have for Springfield College is infectious. There is such a tradition of giving back and mentorship within our department."

Springfield College Assistant Professor of Sport Management and Recreation Daigo Yazawa, PhD, serves as the program director and added, "As with other academic programs at Springfield College, graduates of the Sport Management program enjoy giving back to the community they love. This senior seminar project allows current students to learn from industry professionals who provide a behind-the-scenes look and insightful knowledge of sporting events, marketing, and partnerships. This guest lecture is just the beginning, and we look forward to more interactions and collaborations between current students and our amazing alumni in the sports industry."
