Challenge Course Facilitator
JOB DESCRIPTION:
A facilitator for East Campus Outdoor Learning Center is responsible for designing and facilitating an experiential-based program for a variety of populations. The facilitator may utilize our low and/or high challenge course within their design to enhance the group’s ability to reach their goals and potential. These individuals must be well-organized, knowledgeable, compassionate, and exceptional communicators. Develop and deliver experiential-based programs at East Campus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Able to plan and deliver quality and intentionally designed challenge course experiences to a variety of populations
- Possesses the ability to create a positive environment for learning
- Capable of leading debriefs utilizing a variety of processing techniques
- Responsible for the physical and emotional safety of participants
- Be professional in appearance and attitude
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have completed at a minimum an Adventure Basics Level 1 Challenge Course Training or equivalent, or provide documented training
- Must be able to articulate and demonstrate challenge course skills for the operation of low and high challenge course elements, including but not limited to, spotting, equipment use, knot tying, belay skills, and risk management techniques, plus standard operating procedures.
- Must have basic challenge course training or be willing to enroll in the spring training and be able to perform technical skills on a challenge course. CPR & First Aid required.

- Hourly Rate: $15.00 per hour
