Job Description:
The Student Assistant supports the administrative operations of the Occupational Therapy Department by assisting the department administrator with a variety of tasks. Responsibilities include administrative, organizational, computer-based, and occasional physical labor duties to ensure the smooth daily function of the department. This position requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and professionally in a busy academic environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assist with filing, copying, scanning, and organizing documents
  • Support data entry, spreadsheet updates, and other computer-based tasks
  • Help prepare materials for faculty, classes, and events
  • Maintain organization of departmental supplies and equipment
  • Provide general office support as needed

Work Schedule:

  • 7 hours per week during the Fall and Spring semesters
  • Hours must be worked between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday
  • Specific schedule to be determined based on availability and department needs

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, moving boxes, or setting up materials
  • Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
