Recreation, Youth and Sports Leadership

Recreation, Youth and Sports Leadership is a unique minor for students at Springfield College who are interested in working in youth-serving organizations like the YMCA and the Boys & Girls Clubs. Whether you're a regional, online, or in-person student, you are eligible for this minor as all classes in the minor are provided asynchronously online.

Youth-serving organizations are built on the foundation of empowering youth, respecting individuality, providing safe environments, and providing contact with caring adults. A minor in RYL places you in the forefront of youth development and today's communities need youth development professionals with the credentials and abilities to reach out to young people—to engage them in the decisions that will shape their growth as responsible citizens and future community leaders.
