Dates coming soon for Winter C.A.M.P.

Winter C.A.M.P. (Celebrating Abilities and Making Possibilities) provides opportunities for engaging in meaningful activities and building life skills in a fun and supportive environment for young adults, ages 18 to 22, who are transitioning out of special education services into adulthood.

Participants will make friends as they check out our dining hall, events, activities, and fitness complex. They’ll also experience a residence hall, cook some meals, and explore different hobbies and interests.

The program runs for five days and includes an optional overnight stay on the Springfield College campus.

Participants will work with student mentors who are in their final academic semester of the Master of Science occupational therapy program. Faculty members from the Department of Occupational Therapy will supervise the graduate students in the planning and execution of activities.

What does Winter C.A.M.P. provide for you?

  • Experience college life without the classes and try new social activities
  • Eat lunch in our dining hall, cook breakfast daily, and cook dinner on Thursday night
  • Explore our Wellness & Recreation Complex and East Campus
  • Participate in occupational therapy student-led groups based on your interests, hobbies, and personal goals to achieve what is important to you
  • Discover new things about yourself and explore new interests through the community-based excursion, creative arts-based activities, active games and wellness classes, and a cooking class.
