Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement

The Springfield College Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement opened in the Fall of 2017 and provides a physical space for members of the Upper Hill and Old Hill neighborhoods and all community members to engage with Springfield College students, faculty and staff on initiatives related to education and health/wellness. Through this work within the strategic planning process, the Center was created as an education and health and wellness resource. The Center will continue to link issues that Springfield College students care about with the things they believe they can change, providing a platform to develop students as leaders in service to humanity.

Based on extensive feedback from both the College and local community, several programs and services were planned for the first pilot year (2017-2018) and are already making a positive impact in the community.
