Applied Exercise Science Program Outcomes
Goal 1 : Recognize the subdisciplines within exercise science and understand trends and issues within each.
- SLO 1 : Students demonstrate knowledge of subdisciplines: Exercise physiology, Kinesiology, Strength & Conditioning, Nutrition, Sport/Exercise Psychology
- SLO 2 : Students demonstrate understanding of trends and issues in exercise science subdisciplines (see above)
Goal 2 : Independently select, administer, and interpret fitness-related testing for healthy individuals and individuals with special considerations (in compliance with nationally recognized guidelines).
- SLO 3 : Students demonstrate competency in selecting and administering appropriate fitness tests for healthy population
- SLO 4 : Students demonstrate competency in selecting and administering appropriate fitness tests for special consideration clients
- SLO 5 : Students demonstrate competency in interpreting fitness tests for healthy populations
- SLO 6 : Students demonstrate competency in interpreting fitness tests for special consideration clients
