Applied Exercise Science Program Outcomes

Goal 1 : Recognize the subdisciplines within exercise science and understand trends and issues within each.

  • SLO 1 : Students demonstrate knowledge of subdisciplines: Exercise physiology, Kinesiology, Strength & Conditioning, Nutrition, Sport/Exercise Psychology
  • SLO 2 : Students demonstrate understanding of trends and issues in exercise science subdisciplines (see above)

Goal 2 : Independently select, administer, and interpret fitness-related testing for healthy individuals and individuals with special considerations (in compliance with nationally recognized guidelines).

  • SLO 3 : Students demonstrate competency in selecting and  administering appropriate fitness tests for healthy population
  • SLO 4 : Students demonstrate competency in selecting and administering appropriate fitness tests for special consideration clients
  • SLO 5 : Students demonstrate competency in interpreting fitness tests for healthy populations
  • SLO 6 : Students demonstrate competency in interpreting fitness tests for special consideration clients

Goal 3 : Design and implement exercise programs for healthy individuals and individuals with special considerations (in compliance with nationally recognized guidelines).
