Goal 1 : Graduates of the Doctoral Program in Exercise Physiology will be prepared to teach Exercise Physiology and related courses at the College/University level upon

  • SLO 1 : Students will demonstrate a mastery of basic and advanced concepts related to the field of Exercise Physiology
  • SLO 2 : Students will demonstrate a mastery of pedagogy as it relates to working in academia

Goal 2 : Graduates of the Doctoral Program in Exercise Physiology will be prepared to conduct publishable research in the field of Exercise Physiology

  • SLO 3 : Students will be able to perform a review of literature in a chosen field related to Exercise Physiology and identify gaps in the literature that need to be addressed.
  • SLO 4 : Students will be able to design studies that address the gaps identified in the review of literature
  • SLO 5 : Students will be able to analyze and interpret data collected in studies

Goal 3 : Graduates of the Doctoral Program in Exercise Physiology will be prepared to be engaged in professional organizations that promote the field of Exercise Physiology

  • SLO 6 : Students will learn how submit a paper for publication in a peer reviewed journal to enhance their professional growth
  • SLO 7 : Students will learn how to submit abstracts for presentation at regional or national conferences that reflect their interest in either Sports Physiology, Clinical Exercise Physiology or Applied Exercise Physiology
  • SLO 8 : Students will learn how to get professionally involved in organizations that promote the field of exercise physiology
