Human Services Learning Outcomes

Goal 1: To gain knowledge and theory of the interaction of human service systems including: individual, interpersonal, group, family, organizational, community and societal.

  • SLO 1: Develop an understanding of theoretical and historical foundations of human service delivery systems.

  • SLO 2: Utilize information literacy skills to identify appropriate evidence-based interventions and human services delivery.

Goal 2: Students will meet the standard of ethical practice outlined by CSHSE.

  • SLO 3: Assess the effectiveness of human services delivery systems with an emphasis on diverse and underserved communities.

  • SLO 4: Develop and implement culturally competent policies and practices that affect and influence employees, programs, communities and stakeholders.

Goal 3: Students will develop the professional skills necessary to deliver effective human services.

  • SLO 5: Students will assess the efficacy of systems of care relative to group dynamics, institutional culture, in local and global contexts.
  • SLO 6: Students evaluate the effectiveness of human service organizations in relation to program evaluation, finances, funding, and operational vitality.
