Andrea Coppola, an occupational therapist (OTR/L), earned a bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Studies and a master's degree in Occupational Therapy at Boston University and a post-professional doctorate degree at Creighton University. Coppola has expertise in pediatric and adult acute and critical care practice, but also has experience in providing physical rehabilitation services within skilled nursing, sub-acute rehabilitation, and home health care settings. She teaches courses related to adult physical rehabilitation, clinical skills, neuroscience, and research. She remains a strong advocate for experiential learning, simulation-based education, competency-based education, and interprofessional collaborative practice. She holds a certification in healthcare simulation education through the Society of Simulation in Healthcare.
