Judith T. Herzberg worked in the medical nonprofit sector for 15 years, in direct patient care, long-term care administration, and public health education. Later, at Rutgers University, she served as the executive assistant to the Dean of Student Life and Minority Affairs and became the Coordinator of Rutgers Summer Multicultural Institute. In 1997, she began teaching in the New Jersey community college system in the human services and psychology department. Herzberg has served in various capacities in her professional organizations in the fields of education, psychology, and human services. Following publication of her human services generalist textbook, she has been working on a textbook on ethics for human services leadership and she continues to contribute articles on social change education to publications in her discipline. This work helps Herzberg to remain current in her field to ensure that she brings the best educational experience to her students.
