Challenge Course Facilitator

JOB DESCRIPTION: 
A facilitator for East Campus Outdoor Learning Center is part time and is responsible for designing and facilitating an experiential-based program for a variety of populations. The facilitator may utilize our low and/or high challenge course within their design to enhance the group’s ability to reach their goals and potential. These individuals must be well-organized, knowledgeable, compassionate, and exceptional communicators. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
• Able to plan and deliver quality and intentionally designed challenge course experiences to a variety of populations
• Possesses the ability to create a positive environment for learning
• Capable of leading debriefs utilizing a variety of processing techniques 
• Responsible for the physical and emotional safety of participants 
• Complete required paperwork following a program.
• Be professional in appearance and attitude

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have completed at a minimum an Adventure Basics Level 1 Challenge Course Training or equivalent or provide documented training 
• Must be able to articulate and demonstrate challenge course skills for the operation of low and high challenge course elements, including but not limited to spotting, equipment use, knot tying, belay skills, and risk management techniques plus standard operating procedures
• Must obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
