The Dance minor program at Springfield College is dynamic, diverse, and consistently on the edge of contemporary trends in dance with emphasis on educating the whole person in spirit, mind, and body. Students have the opportunity to take classes in ballet, modern/contemporary, jazz, west African, hip-hop, house, and other social dance forms.The commitment and diverse background of our talented faculty members, guest artists, and our Repertory Touring Company have earned the program a reputation known for quality and community. Springfield College Partnership with Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival
Through the College partnership with Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, dance students have year-round, complete access to live performances, the festival dance archives, lectures, workshops, interviews, and in-person networking with international artists in residence. Dance students also have the opportunity to attend summer workshops and/or obtain internships at Jacob’s Pillow for college credit.


CommUnity Dance Concert 
Join us for an exciting evening of faculty and guest artist works featuring the Springfield College dancers and special guests! The concert will feature the choreographic work of guest artist Yue Yin, as well as the premiere of a new work by Zehnder Dance. 

William Simpson Fine Arts Series

Celebrate the arts

The William Simpson Fine Arts Series entertains and inspires. Experience the arts with magnificent work from artists and performers from both inside and outside the Springfield College community. Attendees will be dazzled by dance performances and theater presentations, captivated by art exhibitions and thought-provoking film, and delighted by concerts and literary events.
