The following are groups offered by the Counseling Center during Spring 2018. 

Our Voices
Mondays, 2:30 to 3:45 p.m.

In the context of a safe and supportive environment, women learn more about themselves and their impact on others through examination of their interpersonal relationships. The group provides an opportunity to explore themes such as self-esteem, loneliness, assertiveness and communication, anxiety, and depression.

Undergraduate Student Support Group
Tuesdays, 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

In the context of a supportive environment, students struggling with establishing connection discuss the challenges of social relationships. Students learn to increase confidence, decrease anxiety, facilitate connectedness, and foster a sense of community.

Anxiety and Depression Life Hacks
Mondays, 11 to 11:50 a.m.
Wednesdays, 2:30 to 3:20 p.m.

In this fast-paced, information-filled 4-session seminar you will learn ways to better understand and manage your anxiety and/or depression and connect with others who are struggling with similar challenges. In each of the sessions, we will go over ways to better manage depression and anxiety through changes in behaviors, thoughts, and feelings. Our goal is for you to learn life-long concepts and techniques to better control and manage anxiety and/or depression in your life.

Hope

Students are given the opportunity to share their experience of grief and loss and develop strategies for coping. This group is open to those whose loss occurred some time ago as well as those for whom the loss if more recent.

Graduate Support Group
Wednesdays, noon to 1:00 p.m.

A confidential and weekly 50-minute gathering of graduate students to explore and acquire support related to the unique challenges of life as a Springfield College graduate student.

Adventures in Therapy 
Tuesdays, 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

We offer a group that is built on self-exploration through an experiential experience that offers deeper insight into oneself. The hope is to help you find a part of yourself that you may not see. The group's goal is to empower yourself.
