Spring 2023 Groups
Female Identified Process Group
In the context of a safe and supportive environment, students learn more about themselves and their impact on others. The group provides an opportunity to build community while also exploring themes such as self-esteem, loneliness, assertiveness and communication, anxiety, and depression. Open to female-identified undergraduate and graduate students.
Male Identified Process Group
This is a weekly support group for individuals who identify as male. This group is intended to enhance awareness of self and interpersonal styles of relating to others. Topics discussed in this group include intimacy, relationships, vulnerability, and choices men face.
Creative Expressions Group
This is an open group that meets weekly to explore issues through creative, artistic expression. This is a drop-in group and all are welcome. Each week will explore a different prompt and topic. (This group will be offered Mondays at from 1-2 p.m. at the Counseling Center in Massasoit Hall).
Workshop Series
This workshop series is offered by the Counseling Center and is held in the Harold C. Smith Learning Commons on the second floor. Each workshop focuses on a different area of collegiate mental health. Topics will include performance anxiety, boundaries, burnout, self-care, and identity. This workshops will be offered every other week and fill up on first come, first served basis. For more information about what topics will be covered and when, please contact the Counseling Center!
