Ava Becker Hometown: Greenwich, Conn. Fun fact about yourself: I recently started drawing/painting a bit and have found it fun and rewarding. Other campus involvement: I like to go to the Wellness Center. Why the Student Advocates for Wellness? Being a Student Advocate is a unique opportunity that I've now had the privilege of being part of for three years. Being a Student Advocate can mean so many things, but to me, it means serving as a peer educator on campus—someone who is here to support students through education and open conversations about topics like sleep, relationships, sexual health, alcohol, drugs, and more. Our goal isn't to shame anyone for their choices or habits, but instead to create a safe, judgment-free environment that promotes healthy decision-making and harm reduction through education. | |
