East Campus

Springfield College’s expansive campus includes East Campus, which features 57 acres of forest ecosystem, a mile of lake shoreline, camping facilities, a boathouse, and a southwestern building. Students can rent canoes and kayaks and enjoy an outdoor adventure just a few miles from the College.

Discover what we have to offer. Tours are offered year-round, with the exception of a few different weeks throughout the year. Tours are typically offered three times per day, Monday through Friday. We also offer Saturday tours on some select Saturdays.

Basketball is built into the fabric of Springfield College. The game was invented by Springfield College instructor and graduate student James Naismith in 1891, and has grown into the worldwide athletic phenomenon we know it to be today.
