Experiential Learning

Academic Enrichment - The Springfield College Difference

Level Up.

Our students jump into their programs and start experiential learning as early as year one. Put theory into practice and work side by side with community members, experts, and scholars to increase your skills and expand your knowledge. Many majors blend traditional coursework with applied internships, service-learning programs, research opportunities, or fieldwork. Plus, our “early and often” philosophy about hands-on learning will put experience on your resume before you even graduate. What’s even better is that many of these internships turn into full-time positions for our students upon graduation.

"Learning I would have the opportunity of starting field experience during the second week of my first semester of college was incredible. After just 14 days, I was able to see firsthand what I was committing to with my major. I also have had four other placements in different areas within Springfield leading up to my full-time field placement senior year. I entered my senior year more confident and prepared than ever to start my lifelong career." - Madison Tubman ’23 Elementary Education and Psychology

“Because of the experience I gained working as a student leader, it helped me have the confidence to transition into what I am doing now. I have come full circle, having worked the Hoophall as a student, and now being a part of the event in my professional career. I owe my professional growth to Springfield College because this event led me to what I am enjoying as a professional now.”

“Springfield College is full of leadership opportunities, and that was always something that excited me as a student. Whether it was exploring the outdoor adventure education experiences, or taking part in team building experiences with the Athletic Leadership program as a graduate student, it was the opportunity to take part in experiential learning that always was my favorite part of my educational experience.”
