Application Instructions for International Students
Instructions
As an undergraduate international student, there are two ways to apply to Springfield College: our paper application or the Common Application.

Apply through the paper application
Submit your application through the Common Application.
To submit your application through the Common Application, you must complete the application and respond to Springfield College's member screen questions. Search for and select Springfield College so to make Springfield College as one of your Colleges on your Common Application dashboard.
You will create a profile and complete sections including family, education, testing, activities, and writing (choose one essay to complete online). There are instructions and help center information available on the right side that you can click on while completing the online Common Application.
The Common Application is international student-friendly.
Apply through the Common Application
Provide official transcript(s).
Submit official transcript(s). Send your official transcript from secondary/high school with proof of graduation. Math and science requirements should have been met during your secondary education. All transcripts must be in English. If the institution was located outside of the United States, and the instruction was not in English, you are required to submit a professional credential evaluation from any member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). If requesting transfer of credits, a course-by-course report is required. We recommend World Education Services or Josef Silny & Associates, Inc. for evaluations.

For international applicants with a native language other than English, proof of English proficiency must be demonstrated.
Provide proof of English proficiency.
Springfield College recognizes the following:
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) TOEFL-IBT, minimum score needed for undergraduate: 69
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) IELTS, minimum score needed for undergraduate: 6.0
- Submit an official report showing successful completion of a partner English language program in the United States. We also recognize the MELAB & PTE ACADEMIC tests.
Complete any requirements for your chosen program.
Certain majors require additional credentials/certain specialized programs also may require earlier application deadlines. Instructions and further information will be forwarded to applicants seeking acceptance to the following programs.
- Athletic training
- Physician assistant
- Emergency medical services management
- Occupational therapy
Stay on top of your application, even after admission.
After acceptance, international applicants will have to submit a Financial Guarantee Form and make a $200 tuition deposit. The student will then be sent the I-20 Form, which is used to apply for the F1 student visa.
