Springfield College is offering an on-campus experience this spring semester. FAQs, community messages, safety precautions, and policies can be found on our website and will be updated regularly.

Springfield College is following guidelines shared by the Massachusetts Commissioner of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Please note: Masks are still required on campus at all times, indoors or outdoors, except while eating.  We will notify our community if/when this requirement changes.  As this is our strongest defense to stop the spread, please make sure masks are properly worn at all times.

COVID Dashboard

The COVID-19 Dashboard updates will be provided three times per week on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. The information posted is the best available information Springfield College has at the time. The number of tests administered each week can vary based on testing needs as well as the capacity of the Broad Institute to process all tests. The vast majority of test results are received within 24 hours of the samples reaching the lab (24-36 hours from specimen collection); occasionally the Broad has maintenance or other issues that result in delays, though those have been very limited. A very small percentage of tests are not able to be processed by the lab and those individuals are retested.

You can help support a Springfield College student during this pandemic. Many students and their families are facing financial hardships due to the effects of the COVID-19.

Give to the Tuition Assistance Fund

Springfield College President Mary-Beth A. Cooper, Vice President for Student Affairs Patrick Love, and Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs Mary Ann Coughlin led a virtual open forum on Friday, Jan. 15 to outline plans for students' return to campus for the spring 2021 semester. Detailed information about the extension of remote learning until Feb. 8, the two-phase staggered move-in of residential students, information on COVID-19 testing requirements, and more, were provided as a follow up to an email sent to students, their families, faculty, and staff.

Celebrating our success in the Fall

Bringing students back to campus this fall was framed around creating a safe campus that felt true to the Springfield College experience. Our faculty and staff worked tirelessly over the summer and into the fall semester to make this possible. Our amazing students worked just as hard, following the guidelines that were put in place while adjusting on the go as we moved through the last three-plus months. This video provides a glimpse into the campus experience and how everyone helped put to use our technology, resources, and collective grit to deliver classroom instruction that maintains our high standard of quality while adhering to CDC and state regulations. Thank you Springfield College!
