As a general counsel, McLaughlin has represented universities and colleges since 2008. Prior to going in-house, she was a business litigator in a large firm in St. Louis, Mo. Law is actually her third career. Prior to law school, she was a regional human resources leader at a Fortune 10 company, and prior to that, she was a research biologist at a medical school. In short, McLaughlin is a lifelong learner.
