Misty Prigent uses an interdisciplinary approach in her teaching and research, aiming to understand concepts and problems by drawing upon multiple disciplines. By blending foundations in Political Science and Anthropology, she develops interdisciplinary courses that serve a wide range of interests. Students in her classes explore issues of globalization, world power, international relations, and borders, among other topics. Prigent’s research is concentrated in Comparative Politics and International Politics with an emphasis on international power comparisons as well as border studies.
