In July 2022, Ryan Coale joined Springfield College as a major gifts officer. Coale’s responsibilities include building and cultivating relationships with alumni, parents, and friends of the College. Coale will work with prospective donors to determine their philanthropic interests and how these interests align with the strategic needs of the College.
Coale returns to Springfield College after earning his master’s in physical education and serving as a graduate assistant baseball coach. Prior to returning to Springfield College, Coale worked at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) National Office in Charlotte, N.C., serving as the development associate and later as the alumni coordinator. His main focus in these roles while at the NJCAA included retaining and growing the number of official partners and sponsors. In addition, Coale was the main point of contact for the NJCAA’s philanthropic arm (the NJCAA Foundation) and he was also responsible for cultivating relationships with notable NJCAA alums.
Coale is passionate about serving an institution that means so much to him. Coale’s parents met at Springfield, and he feels fortunate to be able to continue the legacy and live a life of leadership in service to others.
