Federal Financial Aid Programs
Springfield College participates in the following federal student aid programs for graduate students: federal work-study, federal Direct GRAD PLUS Loan, and federal Direct Unsubsidized Stafford Loan. All programs are subject to federal eligibility regulations.
Students who are accepted into a degree program and maintain a course load of 4.5 credits or more can be eligible to receive federal financial assistance.
An application for financial aid has no effect on the admission decision. Action is taken on the student’s financial aid application after the admission decision. Written notification is sent in the same sequence. Do not wait to receive an admission decision before applying for financial assistance.
If you have any changes in enrollment plans we ask that you let the the Office of Financial Aid know in writing.
Verification
Please note that some applications for financial aid are selected by the U.S. Department of Education for a process called verification. Selected applicants will be asked to submit the federal tax transcripts (or use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool through FAFSA), W-2s, and other information required by law. Springfield College will notify selected applicants of the specific required documents/information.
