DevelopSpringfield Gala

Springfield College President Richard B. Flynn was recognized at the second annual DevelopSpringfield Gala on Friday, April 12, at the MassMutual Center.  Flynn was honored for his role in leading Springfield College’s recovery from the June 1, 2011, tornado, his efforts in expanding the College’s community outreach, and his dedication to improvement projects at Springfield College.

The DevelopSpringfield Gala is a celebration of the city of Springfield and the many accomplishments the community had during the past calendar year, along with exciting new initiatives that are currently being worked on throughout the city. 

The evening benefits and supports DevelopSpringfield’s redevelopment initiatives, projects and programs. More than 400 guests are expected to attend the gala including: federal, state, and city officials, leaders from the business and nonprofit communities, and tornado survivors.  Residents come together on this evening to support ongoing efforts to advance development and redevelopment projects within the city.
