In March 2021, William Guerrero, joined Springfield College as the vice president for finance and administration. The vice president’s responsibilities include leadership for effective long-term planning and annual budgeting, overseeing business operations, investment management, facilities management, information technology, auxiliary enterprises and risk management.
Guerrero comes to Springfield College with more than 22 years of experience in educational administration with 19 of them in higher education. Most recently he served as the vice president for finance and administration at Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY. Previously he served as the CFO in Albertus Magnus and the Foote School in New Haven, CT.
He is an active member of the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO) and is a member of NACUBO Advisory Group on Leadership Diversity: Leaders of Color. You can listen to him on the NACUBO CBO Podcast series Episode 75 as well as a frequent guest on national presentations and podcasts speaking on the diverse issues related to the higher education industry.
Guerrero is also a former longtime Division III college head baseball coach and adjunct faculty teaching entrepreneurship, business ethics, and higher education finance. His wife Maggie is an APRN at Yale New Haven Hospital and they have one son, AJ, who is a senior at Ithaca College.
