Springfield College Athletic Training Student Selected for Elite Internship

Springfield College Athletic Training class of 2016 student Shota Tanaka, of Saitama, Japan, has been selected to participate in an internship program for Japanese students who are currently attending athletic training programs in the United States. The internship is co-sponsored by The Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society (PBATS ) and the Japan Baseball Athletic Trainers Society (JBATS). Tanaka will participate in a two-week program during the 2015 Major League Baseball Spring Training in Arizona and will work with teams such as the Seattle Mariners, San Diego Padres, and Texas Rangers.
