The Springfield College Division of Inclusion and Community Engagement will once again provide six Springfield youth, rising sophomores to rising seniors 16 years of age or older, with 20 hours per week of summer employment and vocational experience at Springfield College as part of the Summer Youth Employment Program.

Participants will work on the Springfield College campus, primarily in facilities and grounds, and will develop workplace skills and competencies while working side by side with positive student and adult role models and enjoying the beautiful campus environment.

The program will run for approximately seven weeks, and participants must be Springfield residents and attending high school in the fall.

The program works to accomplish the following for its youth participants: impart valuable employment skills, provide youth with summer income in safe and nurturing community, provide employment experience that stresses the development and practice of real-world labor expectations, introduce youth to Springfield College and its diverse programs of study, and provide opportunities for career instruction and financial literacy training.
