Springfield College Hosts Springfield Police Academy Class 0719 Graduation Ceremony

Springfield College hosted a special event on Thursday, July 18 as the Springfield Police Academy Class 0719 celebrated its graduation ceremony. More than 40 officers representing Springfield Police, Springfield College Police, East Longmeadow Police, Chicopee Police, Holyoke Police, UMass Police, and Westfield Police took part in the ceremony.

Springfield Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, Acting Commissioner Cheryl C. Clapprood, Recruit Officer Timothy Gallant, and Springfield Police Academy Director Norman Charest, helped lead the ceremony inside of Blake Arena. 

The graduates participating, including Springfield College Police Officers Edward Kennedy and Kevin Healey, received their diplomas and witnessed the pinning of the badges.
