Springfield College International Center Director Assists DaYeh University in Taiwan

 

Springfield College International Center Director Deb Alm, front row center, was recently invited to conduct an English/Group Dynamics course at DaYeh University in Taiwan, where Pei-ling Hsieh '98 G'00 is a faculty member. Alm's class of 53 first and second year students in the School of Hospitality and Leisure Services met for six hours each day day to learn and practice their English speaking skills and group work. Professor Hsieh recommended three of her students to Springfield College, Sandy Wu, Katrina Chen, and Vanessa Chang, all of whom completed the graduate program at Springfield College in Recreation Management. Professor Hsieh has taken her Springfield College Humanics lessons to DaYeh University, requiring that all students in the department conduct a service project in the form of a three-day camp for young children. Watch video...
