Students Visit Springfield Armory Historical Site

Springfield College Chair of the Social Sciences Department and Professor of American Studies Thomas Carty recently led his environmental history class to a visit of the Springfield Armory National Historical Site. Curator Alexander MacKenzie (back row center) highlighted the role of nature in the Armory's history. 

The Springfield Armory National Historic Site commemorates the critical role of the nation’s first armory by preserving and interpreting the world's largest historic US military small arms collection, along with historic archives, buildings, and landscapes.
