William Blizard Gallery
The William Blizard Gallery is the primary art gallery of Springfield College. It is dedicated to showcasing the work of undergraduate and graduate students in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts as well as professional artists from the local community and beyond. The Gallery aims to be a creative community space which supports experimental work in the arts and fosters dialogue and programming in arts and culture.

Jeffrey Neumann ’81, G’08, enrolled at Springfield College in 1975 as an Art major. He studied under Professors William Blizard and Armando Balboni in a program called Art in Urban Life. While at Springfield College, he developed his painting style of contemporary realism with a focus on subjects that are uniquely American. The paintings in this exhibition are a road trip through the 20th century down our two-lane highways.
