Each semester, we offer a variety of programs through our office. Past events have included the following:

The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion also hosts signature programs each academic year. These programs include the following: 

Stoling and Achievement Ceremony 

The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion hosts an annual Stoling and Achievement Ceremony during which students are recognized for their leadership on campus in efforts to create a helpful and inclusive environment.

Women's Tea Event

During International Women's Month in March, the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion hosts a Women's Tea on campus to celebrate feminism and women leaders. 

Cultural Connections Pre-Orientation Program

Cultural Connections Pre-Orientation Program is a first-year leadership opportunity that features a three-day pre-orientation for incoming students. Together with upper-class student leaders, participants learn to connect with resources that can make their cultural, social, and educational experience at Springfield College even better while learning about unity, social justice, and community.

SEAT at the Table

SEAT (Social justice, Equity, Accountability, Transformation) at the Table is a conference of educational experiences across media, pedagogies, and practices, dedicated to deconstructing oppressive systems and transforming our community toward equity for all. SEAT at the Table is organized by a unified body of community members from multiple schools of thought and cultural backgrounds, who will work collaboratively to share governance and responsibility of educating our community on topics related to social justice, identity, power, privilege, positionality, and radical community care.

Diversity Overnight Program

The Springfield College Diversity Overnight Program is a free, one-night event designed to connect prospective students from diverse backgrounds with current students who may share similar affinities and also come from diverse backgrounds. Prospective students will experience the college admissions process and explore their sense of belonging in higher education settings.
