Maureen Barrett, DPT, assistant professor of Physical Therapy, participated at the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) National House of Delegates meeting as an elected State Delegate for the Massachusetts chapter of the APTA in Kansas City, Mo., in July 2024. The APTA House of Delegates represents all 50 states, the District of Columbia, the 18 specialty areas, the Council of APTA students, and the Council of APTA Physical Therapist Assistants.
Angela A. Campbell, DPT, professor of Physical Therapy, served as a delegate to the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) House of Delegates, representing the APTA Academy of Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Physical Therapy at the Kansas City Convention Center, Kansas City, Mo., in July 2024.
Harold InDelicato, MA, MFA, associate professor of Art, exhibited his original ink drawing, “The Gang,” in the Black and White juried exhibition in October 2024 at the The Hummingbird & Dragonfly Art Gallery in Los Angeles, Calif. InDelicato also exhibited his original work, “Ink on Paper #22,” at the worldwide Bellissima 2024 Juried Exhibition in May 2024 at the KBM Art Gallery in Riverside, Calif.
Allison Martel, MLIS, digital technologies librarian; Sheri Sochrin, MLS, reference librarian; and Elizabeth Marathas, MSLIS, reference librarian, completed the Creative Commons Certificate for Librarians program in August, 2024. Their certification attests to their expertise in advising faculty on the open licensing of educational materials.
Sherri L. VandenAkker, PhD, professor of Literature, Writing, and Journalism, exhibited fine art photography in nationally juried shows at three Massachusetts arts venues in 2024. At the Plymouth Arts Center in Plymouth, she earned third place out of 450 entries in the iPhonography 2024 exhibit and had three works shown in “The Horseshoe Crab: Against All Odds” exhibit. At the Marblehead Arts Association in Marblehead, she exhibited one fine art photograph in the Variations 2024 show. At the Cape Cod Art Center in Barnstable, VandenAkker exhibited one work each in The National Spring 2024 and Summer 2024 exhibits.
