Online Educational Modules

As an incoming first-year or transfer student, you’re required to complete three educational modules—AlcoholEdu, Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates, and Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging—before arriving on campus.

If you have questions about accessing these programs, please contact the Office of Student Affairs at (413) 748-3922.

What is AlcoholEdu?

AlcoholEdu provides critical information about alcohol, its effects on the developing brain and body, and how it may play a role in your college experience. This interactive platform is designed to help you make well-informed decisions about alcohol and other substances, and to assist you in dealing with the drinking behavior of your peers, whether or not you personally choose to drink.

What is Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates?

Springfield College is committed to the prevention of all forms of interpersonal violence, and the Sexual Assault Prevention for Undergraduates module is designed to address the critical issues of sexual assault, sexual harassment, relationship violence, and stalking.

What is Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging?

Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging introduces concepts such as inclusion, power, privilege, identities, and communication, as well as strategies related to ally behavior, self-care, and creating inclusive spaces. This module helps students meet Springfield College’s expectations of being an engaged member of a diverse and inclusive community.

How to Complete Modules

Part One

  • Check your Springfield College email address in late July. You will receive a link that will take you to the site to complete all three modules.
  • You will need to know your Springfield College (PrideNET) login information and have your Springfield College ID number.
  • Follow the link in the email to log into the platform. There, you will find all modules. You can work at your own pace from any computer. You can leave and return to the modules at any time. We recommend you access the modules from a computer (instead of a phone or tablet).
  • The due date for you to complete the modules is listed in your email. Please make sure to complete all modules by this due date. **Please ensure that you have completed all three by Friday, August 26, 2022 or prior to your move-in if you are a residential student.
  • All residential students moving in early for pre-arrival programs (Athletics, PreCamp, Cultural Connections) must have all three modules complete prior to arrival.
  • Please note that successful completion is a mandatory requirement for all students at Springfield College. Students that do not complete all three modules may be placed on hold which will not allow you to register for classes, add/drop classes, participate in housing selection, etc.

Part Two

  • Part Two for all modules will automatically open 60 days after you complete Part One.
  • You will receive a reminder email to complete Part Two later in the fall semester.
  • Once your Part Two opens, you are required to complete it within two weeks.
  • These are much shorter than the first modules.
  • Please note that successful completion is a mandatory requirement for all students at Springfield College. Students that do not complete all three modules may be placed on hold which will not allow you to register for classes, add/drop classes, participate in housing selection, etc.
