The Campus Recreation department offers a variety of fitness and wellness programs and services each semester to the College community, including activities such as group exercise, personal training, massage therapy, seminars, events, workshops, competitions and non-credit instructional classes. Registration is not required for programs unless otherwise noted.

Exercise Class Descriptions:

Ab Lab 

This class focuses on strengthening the muscles of the core through some innovative & fun exercises.

Athletic Yoga

Work on your strength, balance, and flexibility in this challenging yoga class. All levels welcome.

Barre Defined

This class focuses on a series of movements that strengthen the entire body. With a combination of functional strength, ballet, pilates, and yoga, you'll use bodyweight as resistance to focus on alignment and optional posture while enhancing coordination, balance, and overall strength.

Butts, Guts, and Thighs

Just like the name states, this class will focus on the abdominals, glutes, & legs. The "GBT" instructor will lead you through abdominal/core exercises, squats, lunges, & a variety of lower-body moves.

Gentle Yoga

Be kind to your body in a yoga class that will focus on gentle movement, breathing, stretching, balance, and relaxation.  Students will need a yoga mat.  Blocks, straps, and blankets are great accessories, but they are not required.  A chair (or two) may be helpful for those with mobility, flexibility, or balance limitations.

Light Impact Training (L.I.T)

L.I.T (Light Impact Training) is a light impact cardio-based dance/strength class. Join Tash for 45-minutes of light movements for the muscles and joints while enjoying today’s top hits!

Mindful/Peaceful Meditation

This live half-hour class is designed to settle the mind and soothe the nervous system and suitable for all levels. The class includes gentle stretching, seated meditation, and relaxation. Find a distraction-free space for practice and dress comfortably. Roll out your yoga mat if you have one, and you may wish to use a chair for the seated meditation. Option to use blankets and a cushion for relaxation.

Sunrise Yoga

Put on your comfortable yoga clothes, roll out your yoga mat, and join Liza for a live yoga class designed to help relieve stress, anxiety, and fear. This hour-long practice is appropriate for all levels and includes warm-ups, postures, and relaxation. Be sure to find a distraction-free location where you have enough space to move.

Vinyasa Yoga

This 60-minute session will allow participants to focus on the connection between the mind and the body through breathwork, along with a series of strength, balancing, and lengthening poses, with a quiet meditation at the end.
