Feb. 15: Reminder: COVID Booster Clinic and March Deadline | Springfield College

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

We are writing to remind you that all students taking face-to-face classes and in-person employees are required to have received a booster vaccine for COVID-19 by March 1, 2022 or within 14 days of their eligibility for a booster thereafter. Any individual who has not received a booster past this date will be considered out of compliance.

Submitting Proof of Vaccination/Booster

You can email a picture (jpg) or scan (pdf) of your vaccination card to HealthCenter@springfield.edu. Please include your name and Springfield College ID number in your communication. You can also drop off or mail a copy of your vaccination card to the Health Center (Springfield College Health Center, 263 Alden Street, Springfield, MA 01109). Employees may also submit their information via the COVID Attestation form on PrideNET. 

Booster Clinic Information

Our final on-campus booster clinic prior to the March 1 deadline will be on Tuesday, February 22, from 10am-2pm in the PE Annex Testing Center (239 Wilbraham Avenue). Providers will have Pfizer, Moderna, and J&J/Janssen vaccinations and boosters available.

We are asking everyone to pre-register using this link; anyone without an appointment will be taken on a walk-in basis only if slots are available. To expedite the process, please complete the attached paperwork before arrival (copies will be available on site).

Vaccine/Booster Exemptions

Students and employees may apply for medical or religious exemptions to the vaccination and booster requirement. Students: to begin the process of requesting an exemption, please download, complete, and submit this Vaccination Exemption Request Form to HealthCenter@springfield.edu. Employees should complete either the Religious Accommodations/Exemption Form or the ADA Accommodations Request Form and email it to SMosier@springfield.edu.

Any student or employee who receives an exemption from being vaccinated (including booster effective March 1) will be required to undergo weekly testing. Testing will occur on campus at our Testing Center located at 239 Wilbraham Avenue. Testing is available during the following hours:

  • Mondays 10:00am-5:30pm

  • Wednesdays 8:30am-3:30pm

  • Thursdays 8:30am-3:30pm
