Sport and Exercise Psychology Lab | Springfield College

The Sport and Exercise Psychology Lab at Springfield College is home to research that connects the mind and body. Our lab equipment allows students and faculty to examine various psychophysiological aspects of sport and exercise, such as heart-rate variability (a key indicator of stress and recovery states) and movement efficiency. Our stimulus presentation software allows researchers to create customized experimental protocols, while the advanced stimulus-response device ensures millisecond accuracy. This setup allows us to study reaction times, decision-making processes, and cognitive load in athletes under various conditions.
