Graduate School

In addition to working as athletic trainers in schools, colleges, and universities, our graduates are also opting to continue their education through graduate programs, like the Springfield College graduate programs.

Clinical Experience

During their undergraduate experience, students in the Athletic Training major can expect to complete clinical experience under the direct supervision of Board of Certification-certified and Massachusetts licensed athletic trainers. This clinical experience is sequenced to facilitate learning of the theoretical and clinical competencies and problem-solving skills needed by the athletic trainer. The supervised clinical experiences take place in the Springfield College Athletic Training and Rehabilitation Facility and off-campus partner settings such as professional sports, high schools, colleges, and clinics.

These hands-on opportunities lay the foundation for success as an athletic trainer upon graduation.

Athletic Training

Hailey Gaydos, Class of 2026

"Understanding how the professions (Athletic Training and Strength and Conditioning) work together and even having the strength and conditioning knowledge will greatly help me and my athletes in the future. Being able to work with a football team was a great experience."
