Academic Services

Academic Success Center

All of the services of the Academic Success Center, including tutoring, academic coaching, and assistance for students with documented disabilities, are located on the third floor.

Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship

Featuring consultations, workshops, and training programs, this center offers a dedicated space for faculty development and collaboration.

Library Services

With an information desk on the first floor and research consultation space on the second, students, faculty, and staff can receive help and access to resources throughout the space.

Building Features

All-gender Restrooms

All restrooms in the Learning Commons are gender neutral.

Commons Cafe featuring Starbucks Coffee

Take a break from studying at Starbucks, located on the first floor.

Cooper Terrace

This scenic patio on the third floor overlooks the Springfield College baseball fields.

Parenting Room

A designated room on the first floor will be available for parents to nurse their children.

Classrooms and Conference Rooms

Davis Center

This classroom provides a space for librarians and faculty members to provide instruction within the Learning Commons.

Forum

This state-of-the-art space is available for programming, with audio hook-ups and flexible space for 60 attendees. It also has video technology and a green screen to allow students and faculty to record for projects.

High-tech Computers

More than 30 computers will be available for student use on the second floor, including specialized software for coursework and video editing.

Technology-enhanced Conference Room

The fourth-floor conference room includes video conferencing technology to allow for members of the Springfield College community to connect with colleagues at the distant campuses of the School of Professional and Continuing Studies.

Study Spaces

24-hour Study Space

This area is accessible by card swipe system for members of the Springfield College community and includes access to restrooms and a printer.

Group Study Rooms

Group study rooms are reservable by students, so you can easily study with friends or classmates.

Karpovich Reading Room

Need to hunker down? A quiet reading and study space dedicated to the memory of former faculty member Peter Karpovich, including an exhibit of his life and work.

Technology Services

Technology Services Desk

This desk combines troubleshooting, training, classroom technology support, media services, equipment lending, and general technology and project information in one convenient location on the first floor.
