Campus Inclusion Climate Survey: Student Demographics

All Springfield College students were invited to participate in the campus inclusion climate survey via campus-wide email solicitation and active social media campaigning. Seven-hundred-and-sixty-four students out of a total student population of 3,806 responded to the survey for a participation rate of 20%. The Viewfinder survey sought to gather personal experiences of students within the Springfield College community; the survey was designed to explore student perceptions of the overall campus climate related to a number of demographic factors as well as students’ perceptions of various campus policies and offices. It consisted of 79 questions, some of which the committee members developed to supplement those provided by Viewfinder, and used skip logic coding to guide students to respond to questions that pertain specifically to them.
