Also in January 2023, Boyd co-presented “Exploring theoretical frameworks for supporting justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) in game-based approach lessons in physical education” at the National Association of Kinesiology in Higher Education Annual Conference in New Orleans, La.

Ian Delahanty, PhD, associate professor of History, delivered a lecture on “Slavery and emancipation in the Connecticut River Valley” at the Easthampton (Mass.) City Hall in March 2023. The event is part of Easthampton's efforts to educate residents about the history of slavery and systemic racism in the region after its City Council passed a resolution in support of a federal bill to commission a study into reparations. Delahanty was invited by the Easthampton City Council to deliver this lecture, which was covered by Channel 22 WWLP.
Mary Kate Feit, PhD, assistant professor of Strength and Conditioning, and Adam Feit, PhD, assistant professor of exercise science, co-presented “How to develop an on-season football training program at any level” at the The Big New England Football Clinic in Newport, R.I., in March 2023. Mary Kate Feit also coordinated seven Springfield College strength and conditioning graduate students who presented “Lunch and Learn: Practical application of strength and conditioning principles” at the National Strength and Conditioning Association Massachusetts State Clinic held at Springfield College in March 2023. The seven strength and conditioning students are Eloi Badia Rovira, TJ Cahil, Vail Cote, Chris Hamilton, Emily Nitzsche, Kerem Posacioglu, and David Siwiec, who are expected to graduate in May 2023. Mary Kate Feit also presented “Securing meaningful field work or internship experiences” at the National Strength and Conditioning Association Coaches Conference in Charlotte, N.C., in January 2023.
