Coach Robert G. Surette '70, led Delran High School boys soccer team to the New Jersey Group II State Championship. Delran was the top-ranked team out of 370 high schools in New Jersey, and the team was nationally ranked as the third best team in the country.

Surette was recently inducted into his fourth High School Hall of Fame. The latest was the Southern New Jersey Soccer Hall of Fame. The same Hall of Fame that former United States Soccer captains Peter Vermes and Carli Lloyd were inducted. Coach Surette was Peter’s high school coach, and often gave soccer drills to Carli’s high school coach Rudi Klobach.

Anita N. Lee, G’02, DPE ’05, has been selected as the new Associate Dean of Academic and Faculty Affairs and Professor of Health Science Studies, for the School of Health Sciences at Quinnipiac University.

Eric Chase '14 recently married Carly Eckles in a ceremony with friends and family. Congratulations to both Eric and Carly.

James Andrew Dodd '93 has spent the last 30 years teaching and coaching in the United States and Overseas. He recently published his book on offensive design in basketball and the application of behavioral economics. The book launched on Amazon.

Originally, the project was simply a collaborative presentation with a current NBA coach, with the premise being current trends in offensive strategy and how best to design systems where players can better self-organize, play to their strengths and play intelligently. Over the years, the more work Dodd did on this, and consequently, the more success his teams were showing on the court, resulted in finally deciding to share in total what he learned.

"I owe the success of our program to my players and staff, but I strongly believe this system has brought out our best in instruction, practice and performance," explained Dodd.

Iris Clyburn Leak '85 and Diane Cavaliere '85 have been friends since they met on campus in 1981. As a result of 42 years of friendship, Iris flew up from Georgia to attend Diane's 60th birthday party.

A big congratulations to Lauren Peladeau '16, DPT'18 and Dean Marino '17, who married on September 17, 2023, in Warwick, Rhode Island, with many members of their Springfield College family by their side. Fun Fact, Lauren and Dean met while working in Massasoit Hall in 2014.

Scott Woodaman ‘09, G’12, Director of YMCA Relations and advisor of the Y Club at Springfield College, was recently interviewed by Inside Higher Ed about the College's YMCA professional studies minor and deep connections to the YMCA movement.

Cody Ross '15, G'17, married Lindsay Pelkey on September 30, 2023 at Zukas Hilltop Barn in Spencer, Mass, with many alumni friends by their side.

Amanda A. Picozzi '19 has been named Caldwell University Head Women's Lacrosse Coach and Athletics Administrator. As a student-athlete at Springfield College, Picozzi played lacrosse and field hockey, excelling both on the field and in the classroom, where she was recognized by the NCAA for her 4.0 GPA, earning NFHCA Academic All-Conference Honors in 2018.

Picozzi's teams won two Conference Championships and made three appearances in the NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse tournament, advancing to the Round of 16.

Rachel Keyworth '11, G'14, Recreation Industries and Therapeutic Recreation Program Director, married Alyssa Ososki at Crystal Lake in Middletown, CT on October 7 surrounded by her Springfield College community.

Congratulations to Sport Management alum Kyle DeBlasiis '23, as he embarks on his new role with Van Wager as a Marketing Coordinator at Siena College! Congratulations Kyle!
