Joseph Brockway, PhD, assistant professor of Spanish, translated two Spanish-language poems by Nemir Matos Cintrón into English in Reliquiae (Vol. 9, No.2) in November 2021: “Song to Changó/Canto a Changó” and “I Am the Beginning/Soy el Principio.”

Julia Chevan, PhD, professor of physical therapy and chair of the Department of Physical Therapy, co-authored “Mind the gap: An analysis of physical therapist earnings in the United States by male/female sex” in the PJT: Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Journal in January 2022.

Laurel Davis-Delano, PhD, professor of sociology, co-authored “Perceived indicators of American Indian identity in everyday interaction: Navigating settler-colonial erasure” in Ethnic and Racial Studies in October 2021. Her co-authors were Sita L. Strother (JSI Research & Training Institute) and Joseph P. Gone (Harvard University). Also with these co-authors, Davis-Delano published “Native American identity work in settler colonial context” in the International Journal of Intercultural Relations in October 2021.

Esaki also co-authored “Next steps: Applying a trauma-informed model to create an anti-racist organizational culture” in Behavioral Sciences in February 2022.

Meghan Migeon, DMSc, associate professor of physician assistant studies and chair of the Department of Physician Assistant Studies, published “Is gabapentin a safe and effective treatment for nonneuropathic pain?” in the Journal of the American Academy of PAs in December 2021.

Elizabeth M. Mullin, PhD, associate professor of exercise science and sport studies; Jasmin Hutchinson, PhD, professor of exercise science; and Kathleen T. Mellano, PhD, assistant professor of exercise science, co-authored “Impact of COVID-19 restrictions on mental health and physical activity among LGBQAP and heterosexual adults” in the Journal of Gay and Lesbian Mental Health in November 2021. Mullin also co-authored “Queer, non-biological mothers: Competing, marginalized athletic identities” in the Journal of Homosexuality in November 2021.

Elizabeth O’Neill, DPE, professor of applied exercise science and program director, co-authored “Wearables, respiratory rehabilitation, acute myocardial infarction and frailty, and high-intensity respiratory muscle training” in the Journal of Clinical Exercise Physiology in January 2022. Her co-author was Michelle Stehman, Class of 2023, doctoral candidate in exercise physiology.
