Springfield College held its Baccalaureate ceremony on the afternoon of Saturday, May 18, in the Field House within the Wellness and Recreation Complex located on the main campus. Baccalaureate is an annual Springfield College tradition held on the day before the undergraduate commencement to honor the graduating senior class.

The Springfield College Rehabilitation Counseling Program is ranked in the top tier in the category of “Best Health Schools” in the latest U.S.News Best Colleges report with a current category ranking of 20 in the current report. The Springfield College Rehabilitation Counseling Program is one of only two Colleges or Universities in New England ranked in the top 20.

Springfield College hosted its fourth annual Sports and Social Justice Symposium on Friday, April 12, in the Cleveland E. and Phyllis B. Dodge Room in the Flynn Campus Union. The event featured a keynote conversation with Professor Mimi Murray, who is a Springfield College legendary educator, coach, and crusader for gender equity.

The Springfield College Department of Biology and Chemistry presented the 23rd annual Britton C. and Lucille McCabe Lecture featuring Calen Ryan on Thursday, April 11, in the Appleton Auditorium in the Fuller Arts Center. Ryan’s presentation, “Evolution in Medicine, Human Reproduction, and Health,” focused on biomedical science and how it has improved the human condition, and has a remarkable legacy of cataloguing and mitigating disease.
