First-Year Students SOAR Prep and Deadlines

Prepare for SOAR 

(ALL DUE BY JUNE 1, 2026)

  1. Register for SOAR
    Registration will open in early May 2026.
     
  2. Complete the Pre-Advising Questionnaire
    This ensures your career goals and interests align well with the major you were admitted to. You must be signed into your Springfield College email to access this questionnaire. Link Coming Soon!   
     
  3. Complete the Math Assessment
    This provides a recommendation for the math course that best compliments your strengths and aptitudes as well as fulfills your major and Core Curriculum requirements. Link Coming Soon!  

Attend SOAR 

(JUNE 22, 23, 24, or 25, 2026*)

SOAR is a one-day orientation, advising, and registration program for incoming first-year students and their families. Families are strongly encouraged to attend to meet with faculty and staff members and learn about campus services. 

*Students will be invited to attend a primary day for their major (June 22, 23, or 24) or can plan to attend the alternate day for all majors (June 25). Undeclared majors are welcome to attend any of the four days.
