"I think the Spirit, Mind, and Body philosophy at Springfield has really stuck with me in my personal and professional life. Sometimes getting elements for a story is kind of like solving a puzzle. I feel motivated when I get a challenge like that. And it motivates me to know the stories I research impact a lot of people. It's important to get it right, and I don't take that responsibility lightly."

Katie Benoit
Director of Athletic Performance for Football, University of Minnesota

Dan Nichol '02

"Springfield College is an amazing place, it's truly special and unique to those who want to help others grow mentally, emotionally, and physically in sport. The building blocks of becoming a coach are taught in all areas of both undergraduate and graduate work. The internship experiences are critical in the development of a young athlete and coach."

Experiential Learning

Our students jump into their programs and start experiential learning as early as year one. Many majors blend traditional coursework with applied internships, service-learning programs, research opportunities, or fieldwork. Plus, our “early and often” philosophy about hands-on learning will put experience on your resume before you even graduate. What’s even better is that many of these internships turn into full-time positions for our students upon graduation.
