In honor and recognition of Tamie Kidess Lucey '81, G'82, for her nearly four decades of leadership and service to Springfield College as the Director of Alumni Relations, alumni, family and friends established the Tamie Kidess Lucey '81, G'82 Scholarship which was unveiled at the Alumni Awards as part of Homecoming 2024.
This endowed fund will support in perpetuity deserving students who demonstrate need for financial assistance to achieve a Springfield College education. If you wish to contribute to the scholarship in honor of Tamie, please visit SC's online giving page at springfield.edu/giving
Thank you to Sean Cox '82 and Debbi Jack Cox '81 who served as housing hosts for Maddy Coon '23, DPT'25 while Maddy completed a clinical rotation at Concord Hospital Recovery Clinic in Gilford, NH.
Says Maddy, "Debbi and Sean have been amazing and I am so grateful to have had this opportunity. They are true Springfield College alumni!"

Deb Salka Crean '91, Kathi Burns Hothem '91, Michelle Clopp '91, Kasie Scott Evans '91, Karin Peterson Fleming '91, Kathy Holbrook Franklin '91, Emily Zahradnik Mildt '91 and Sheila Dymes Lally '91 gathered in Naples, Florida where they celebrated 37 years of friendship which began on Alden Street in the fall of 1987. Carpe Diem!
Luis Gomes '18, G'20, Paraprofessional, Ansonia Public Schools; Jillian Kelley '16, Assistant Director of Prevention and Education, Office of Title IX and Equal Opportunity at the College of the Holy Cross and Elizabeth Young MSA '23, a Social Worker for the Department of Children and Families, Commonwealth of Massachusetts returned to campus for a panel discussion on "Moving Forward: Navigating Diversity in the Job Search and Workplace".
The program was presented by the Springfield College Career Center in collaboration with the Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the Office of Non-Discrimination Initiatives and Title IX.
Kelly Moran Langlois '16 has been recognized with the 2024 SHAPE Excellence in Teaching award. Kelly teaches health and physical education at Warwick Elementary School in Rhode Island.
Candy Dias McLeod '79 and Laurel Greco Vicidomino '79 had a wonderful trip to Spain and Portugal.
Emma Peters '19, DPT '21, and Melissa Parrish '19, DPT '21, got together for a continuing education course hosted by Estelle Sweeney Leclair '91, G'92, at Essex Physical Therapy in Vermont. Love the Triangle!
Barclay Damon has announced that Jenna Cutler '14, has been selected to the 2024 Connecticut Rising Stars list. She was recognized in the Civil Litigation: Defense category. Cutler is a member of the firm's Commercial Litigation & Complex Trials and Labor & Employment Practice Areas. She practices out of the firm's New Haven office.
Pete Campbell '04 wrote to say he is a fitness professional in Raleigh, North Carolina and he recently discovered that one of his clients who he has been working with for a few months, Richard Schmidt '62 is also an alum!

Springfield College Professor of Communications Fadia Nordtveit and the Career Center hosted alumni Thomas Doherty '79, right, and Mark Hellstein '78, left, to talk with students about Personal Branding. Doherty and Hellstein went into detail and assisted students with how they can bolster their employability for future employers. Thank you to alumni volunteers Betsy Jeffers Moquin '90, Marissa Moquin '19, DPT '21, and Charlie Redmond '68, G'71, who along with Maria D'Agostino Crawford '91, Interim Director, Alumni Relations, visited with prospective students and their families during a recent Admissions Open House.
Congratulations to Brittany McNally '12 and Pete Tomascak who were married on July 20th. The proud parents of the bride are Brian McNally '81 and Cindy Tibbets McNally '81.
Matt Ferry '11, back row, Director of Baseball Operations for the New York Yankees, recently welcomed Dr. Steven Crawford '76, bottom left, and his wife Stephanie to Yankee Stadium. Dr. Crawford won an SC fund raising raffle that included tickets to the game, a tour of the stadium and on-field batting practice. The group tour was graciously hosted by Matt. Both Matt and Dr. Crawford played baseball at SC. Of note, that night, Yankees all-star Aaron Judge hit a grand slam home run to propel the Yankees to a win over the Boston Red Sox.
Esteemed Alumnus and Emeritus Trustee Herbert H. Jervis '64, G'66, recently gave a special presentation to current students regarding patents and their potential role in innovation and entrepreneurship in healthcare at Springfield College. Jonathan Forsberg '09 is Vice President of Business Operations with the American Hockey League's Bridgeport Islanders in Bridgeport, Conn.
Colin Drury, G'12, is happy to share that he is starting a new position as Director of Business Development - New England at Ben Shaffer Recreation Inc.
Micah Barshay '16, a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, recently accepted a position at the Hospital for Behavioral Medicine, a psychiatric hospital in Worcester, MA.
Dahmir Noel, G'19, is now the Associate Athletic Director at Alma College.

Allison Leary '21, DPT '23, has started a new position as a Physical Therapist at Pappas OPT Physical, Sports and Hand Therapy.
Hannah Salvietti '21 has passed the July 2024 Uniform Bar Exam. Once she is sworn in, she will be a licensed attorney at Fitzgerald Law, P.C. focusing on estate planning, real estate and business transactions.
Jack Simonetty '21, MBA '22, has been hired as the MiLB Hitting Coach for the Boston Red Sox.
Jacob Chaimovitch '24 has earned a promotion to Operations Coordinator for the San Antonio Local Organizing Committee.
Mount Holyoke College has named Gabriel Franklin, G'24, Equestrian Mental Performance Coach.
Lasell University has named Vani Patel, G'24, Head Softball Coach.
The Westfield State University Alumni Association honored Tina Riordan, PhD '24, with the Alumni Award for Excellence in Healthcare.
