It is always a great day on Alden Street when Springfield College alumni come home for a visit. In November, we had the pleasure of welcoming Jason Klein '00, executive chairman & founder of Force3 Pro Gear and Stuart Sokoloff '17, manager, group & season ticket sales for Athletes Unlimited. Sokoloff is also an adjunct professor at SC where he teaches a class in Client Services & Sales. Both Klein and Sokoloff majored in sports management and enjoyed talking about their experiences with current students pursuing this field. View Photo Gallery...
On Sunday, November 10, the Men's and Women's Gymnastics teams hosted a "First Look" Intrasquad Meet in Blake Arena. Many gymnastics alumni were on hand to cheer on the current teams as they prepare for the upcoming season. It was a special day as former gymnastics coaches Frank Wolcott '52, G'60; Mimi Murray '61, G'67; and Steve Posner were all in attendance. Prior to the meet, the division of Institutional Advancement hosted a lunch reception for attendees to view the upgrades and hear about the future potential renovations of Kresge Gymnasium. There is nothing like getting together with fellow Triangles!
A wonderful gathering of just some of the Springfield College alumni who attended the recent MAHPERD convention at the DCU Center in Worcester, Mass. Have you gotten together recently with SC alumni, either in the workplace or socially? Please send photos to alumni@springfieldcollege.edu. Thank you!
Mary Barnum, G'90, faculty emeritus, ran into Bob Peck, G'83, while on a ferry crossing from Ocracoke, NC to Cedar Island, NC. Bob taught scuba diving at Springfield College as an adjunct professor for the Department of Physical Education. Although their time at Springfield College overlapped, Mary and Bob had never met until their meeting on the ferry.
