Springfield College graduates from the Class of 2012 spent a week together during their annual family vacation in Lake George, NY.

Graduates from the Class of 2017 got together this summer and enjoyed reminiscing about their time in Townhouse 12!

The 1980's were well represented on a recent trip to Alaska.

The Springfield College Division of Institutional Advancement and Office of Alumni and Family Relations hosted a gathering at Tanglewood this past summer as part of a full schedule of summer events.

Springfield College President Mary-Beth Cooper and Dave Cooper were joined by alumni, families, and friends on a beautiful night on the lawn. Attendees enjoyed the Boston Symphony Orchestra presenting Maestro of the Movies: A tribute to John Williams.

Springfield College men's soccer alumni recently hosted a golf gathering this past summer at Wilbraham Country Club in Wilbraham, Mass. It was a fun time for all who attended and enjoyed some perfect weather on the links. Photo Gallery...

Gabriela Christ Zirna '16; Jonathan Zirna '16, G'17; Lindsey Stevenson Phinney '16; Sarah Laranjo Defazio '16; Rachel Scoble Johnston '16; and Trevor Johnston '16, recently enjoyed time with each other and their growing families.

Lauren Gardner '97 and Karyn Baglini Chylewski '97 recently returned to Alden Street for a visit. Neither had been back to Springfield College since their graduation.

Lauren currently lives in Germany working for the US Government abroad. Karyn lives and works in New Hampshire. During Lauren's summer visit home to visit family in Connecticut, they decided to meet "half-way" and walk down memory lane through the Springfield College campus.

"What a fun day we had and how wonderful the campus looks," shared Lauren.

Members of the Newington High School (Newington, CT) community are celebrating alumnus John Concannon '76 as he begins his 51st year of teaching!

The staff "Family of Learners" shirts are in honor of John and one of his favorite sayings - "Achieve Greatness."

Donnie Gallagher '75 and Karen Moodie Gallagher '75 hosted a "Gallagher Garden Party" featuring lots of fun, food, Springfield College memories and music!

Several of the group also attended an Amherst Survival Center benefit concert organized by Donnie Gallagher. This has become an annual event hosted at the Drake ("Heartbeat of Downtown Amherst").

Springfield College alumni are everywhere! Nate Harris '08, General Manager, Greater Richmond Convention Center recently ran into Steve Luttazi '89, Vice President of Sales, Spec Seats at the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) Venue Connect 2026 conference in Indianapolis.

Recently gathering in Beacon, NY for their annual "Townhouse 12" and friends get together were Brandon Chu '23; Sam Ware '23; Aidan Nau '23; Alec Noe '23; and Stefan Minyayluk '23. Also joining the festivities, but not pictured were Matlyn Gross '23; Jerod Gardner '23; and Ethan Nirenberg '23.

For the past 40 years, these old roommates have been spending a weekend in Saratoga Springs, NY for the races: Kevin Halburian '86, G'87; Leigh Gorman '84; John McNulty '87; and John Monsees '85.

Stopping by our office earlier this summer for a visit was Joe Manning '24. Joe is an Account Executive with the Springfield Thunderbirds of the American Hockey League. We love visitors! Please feel free to stop by our office for a visit if you are in the area!

The COSJ Alumni Podcast returns for its third season highlighting the student experiences and professional success of graduates from Springfield College's Communications/Sports Journalism program. The first episode of the fall season posted on 9/4 on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music and iHeart. Just search "COSJ Alumni Podcast." In this episode, Jeremy Menard, Assistant Professor of Multimedia Journalism, speaks with Matthew Tuthill '03, VP of Content & Communications for Chef Robert Irvine. Some recent graduates of the Springfield College Physician Assistant Studies program recently gathered at the home of Judy '83; Ted G'81, CAS'82; and Emma '24, G'26 Baumhauer.

Katie Baroli '24, G'26; Chalan Whelan '23, G'26; Romi Eldah '24, G'26; and Hunter Audet '24, G'26, came to visit Emma during the NY State Fair and a visit to Niagara Falls.

From intern to impact! Springfield College Assistant Professor of Sport Management and pround alumnus Mike Theulen, DPE'83, recently joined the Suffield (CT) Parks & Recreation Podcast to discuss the connection between Springfield College and Suffield Parks & Recreation.

Theulen was joined by current student Tracetta Caudle, class of 2027, a current intern with Suffield Parks & Rec, and Dan Leonard '21, recreation supervisor.

Anita N. Lee, G'02, DPE'05, was named Chair of Hartford HealthCare’s East Region Board of Directors, a volunteer leadership position supporting Backus Hospital, Windham Hospital, and Natchaug Hospital in Connecticut. Lee currently serves as Associate Dean of Academic and Faculty Affairs and Professor of Health and Exercise Science in the School of Health Sciences at Quinnipiac University.

Aboshioma “Sho” Obemeata, G'18, joined Indiana State University as an Assistant Track & Field Coach, continuing his professional career in collegiate athletics.

Jack Kennedy '21 began a new role as Retail Donations Coordinator at Connecticut Foodshare, a statewide organization working to address hunger and food insecurity across Connecticut.

Margaret Barden '22 joined Regis College as Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Welfare and Compliance. Barden comes to Regis following her time with Boston College Football and will work with student-athletes, coaches, and staff while supporting the continued growth of Regis Athletics.

Stonehill College has named Grace Dzindolet '22, G'24, as Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance. In her new role, Dzindolet will continue supporting student-athletes while contributing to Stonehill’s athletics program and institutional mission.

Emily Zambarano '25 joined LEARFIELD as a Partnership Solutions Coordinator with UMass Sports Properties. Zambarano studied Communications and Sports Journalism at Springfield College before earning her master’s degree in Sport Management from the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst. Her new role marks the beginning of the next stage of her career in the sports industry.

Sara Crowell '25, G'26, became a certified and licensed athletic trainer after passing the Board of Certification exam and receiving her Connecticut licensure this summer. Crowell has accepted a position with Connecticut Orthopaedics, where she will work within the Meriden school district as she begins her professional career in athletic training.

Marc Villanueva '26 joined the Player Operations team at the US Open, working at the Practice Desk. In this role, Villanueva manages daily practice court reservations, tracks court usage, and helps ensure courts are prepared for players throughout the tournament. The opportunity marks his first Grand Slam experience and builds upon his previous work with WTA events.
