Graduate Fellowship and Associateship Listings

Fellowship positions include teaching, research, and/or coaching responsibilities while associateships include administrative and/or professional services positions. Workload does not exceed 20 hours per week. Compensation can include a tuition waiver and stipend and/or hourly pay. Eligibility is based on position criteria determined by the supervisor and/or department under which the position is housed. Supervisors/Departments are responsible for the selection and awarding of fellowship and associateship positions.

Fellowships and Associateships are available to students studying on our campus in Springfield, Mass. Students enrolled in an online or hybrid program are ineligible for this assistance.

To accept a fellowship or associateship position, you must be (or plan to be) enrolled as a full-time student in a graduate program. Part-time students are ineligible for fellowships or associateships.

PLEASE NOTE: The deadlines listed below are strongly suggested, but some positions may have different deadlines based on individual departmental needs. If a position is still listed as “Accepting Applications” but the priority deadline has passed, we strongly encourage you to email the listed faculty contact to see if they are still accepting applications. Positions will remain open until filled.

Fellowship/Associateship Application Priority: January 20, 2026.
This deadline applies to all positions seeking fellowships or associateships for Fall
2026.
Fellowship/Associateship Applications Supporting Materials Deadline: February 1,
2026.
Applicants have through February 1, 2026 to complete their application by submitting the required materials (i.e. recommendations, resume, statement).
Candidate Interview Period: February 2 - March 2, 2026.
Not all positions require an interview.
Fellowship/Associateship position decisions released by: March 15, 2026.
In an effort to provide students an opportunity to compare offers, all decisions will be released by March 15, 2026.
